Shannon Heaven was born and raised in Minot, North Dakota. She later attended college at the North Dakota State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and minored in Psychology. She later moved to Wasilla, Alaska where she ran an Activity Therapy Treatment Program for emotionally disabled teenagers. While living in Alaska she met and married her husband Will, who is originally from New Zealand. They had their only child, Zion, a handsome young boy, and moved to Hawaii 6 weeks later. Shannon and her family have now been in Hawaii for almost nine years.
Shannon began selling real estate seven years ago and has loved every minute of it. If you ask her, she would say her favorite part of the business is getting the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. She states that she has made many lifelong friendships with her clients and their families.
Shannon has earned several designations during her past seven years and continues to strive to achieve additional education credits. She currently has her ABR, which is the Accredited Buyer’s Representative. This helps Shannon as she assists buyers in today’s market. She is also a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI), which was a year long process. Her CRS designation or Certified Residential Specialist Designation is what she is the most proud of. The CRS Designation is the highest professional designation awarded to REALTORS® in the residential sales field. Fewer than 4 percent of all REALTORS® hold the CRS Designation. Shannon is currently working towards the Certified Residential Broker’s Designation which she hopes to complete by the end of 2010.
Shannon sits on the Board of Directors for the Aloha CRS Chapter and is the former Co-chair of the “Chapter with a Heart” committee. In 2009 the committee held a concert at Aloha Tower to raise money for the Shriners Children’s Hospitals, which serves the children of the South Pacific. The Chapter raised a record setting $21,000.00. Shannon was also one of ten agents chosen to attend the Hawaii Association of Realtors ® inaugural Leadership Academy this year.
Shannon believes in giving the highest customer service and she sees her clients as her clients for life. She enjoys seeing families reach their goals of home ownership as well as closing chapters in their life and moving on to the next opportunity.
